COVID-19

OUR WORLD IS CHANGING
How do I begin? As a small business owner myself, we understand how hard it is to survive in times like these. We also understand that 90% of our clients are small business owners as well. These are genuinely some trying times we are living.
As a father of two 13-year-old twin boys and married for almost 20 years, some priorities become apparent. That means our family's safety comes first. Sometimes we don't even know what action(s) we should take. As humans, we rely on our instincts. These can sometimes create havoc and chaos in communities across the nation, even the world.
But what if? What if we come together and figure out a way to overcome. A way to help each other, build each other up, or event supports others in need. What a thought? As I said earlier, we are a small business. That means that we are here to offer support to others that need us to help them find solutions. I want to offer up some suggestions for you in this article. Below are some ideas that could help. I will list these with the following format:
Problem
Solution
Ordering Systems
Applies to restaurants or retail services.
Problem:
COVID-19 requires businesses to close their doors. Businesses can only offer curbside, to-go, or delivery services. Businesses are struggling to figure out how to take orders via phone or another medium.
Solution:
While some businesses can only take orders via walk-ins or phone. Some businesses have been using social media. Social media DM (direct messaging) has been beneficial in filling the gap. There is a temporary solution. There are so many online ordering systems currently available. The goal is to find the right fit for your businesses that don't gouge your pocket.
We suggest taking the time and doing some research before jumping in.
What we offer:
MyCali Designs tries to make our customer's lives stress-free. Being in the industry for over ten years, we have seen it all. We currently offer an online ordering system for restaurants that is easy to integrate. Some of the options it offers like Online Ordering, Marketing Tools, Personal App Option, Easy to use Dashboard, and more.
Include Your Community
Applies to all businesses.
Problem:
Small businesses have to close their doors until further notice.
Solution:
As a business owner in a community, people want to support you. What we suggest is putting together a campaign on your social media channels. That means getting creative and involving others to help out. For instance, if I own a Western Wear business, I would do the following:
1. Go live on social media and show people how to care for their cowboy hats, leather goods, or educating people on the lifestyle of western wear.
2. Have a contest. Allow your customers to tell stories about your business. Build a way that others can tell their story about why they love your business.
What we offer:
MyCali Designs is part owner of an app called DapIt. DapIt
is a way for small businesses to sign up, and the customer can buy gift cards instantly. But best of all, customers can share all or part of the gift card with anyone. That allows your business to build a vast customer base. We recently ran a contest called 5-5-5 challenge. Customers can support their local markets by selecting five businesses, buying five gift cards of $5 or more, and then tagging five friends. That made a difference in today's current events.
In conclusion, please look after each other. We are all living in our unique communities. That has to count for something. As a father, we love our community. We spend our days working, going to our kid's sports games, enjoying seasonal events, and more if we don't take care of our communities who will.
Please be safe, from all of us at MyCali Designs.
