Our initial engagement with Legacy Sports Fastpitch identified several key operational and user experience challenges that were hindering their efficiency and potentially impacting engagement. A primary hurdle involved the significantly manual processes required for managing event sign-ups and payments.
- Inefficient Sign-up and Payment Workflow: The existing system relied on a multi-step process that included: Initial sign-ups via a basic contact form. Manual follow-up through email to confirm registration. Separate exchange of payment links, primarily through Venmo. This process introduced administrative overhead, increased the potential for errors, and created a less-than-ideal experience for participants.
The subsequent critical task focused on a comprehensive website redesign aimed at improving both familiarity and ease of navigation compared to their previous platform.
- Challenges with Previous Website Structure: The prior website, hosted on TeamSideline, presented navigational complexities for visitors due to its inherent structure as a different type of sports management platform. This resulted in a disjointed and potentially frustrating user experience.
Our core objectives for the website redesign centered on creating intuitive and effortless workflows for crucial user interactions:
- Streamlined Sign-up and Event Discovery: We aimed to develop a seamless process for individuals to register for games and easily locate relevant upcoming events.
Furthermore, our analysis revealed specific pain points related to event management and the overall sign-up experience:
- Lack of Centralized Event Sign-up Visibility: The client lacked an efficient method to easily view comprehensive event sign-up data across all participating teams. This made it challenging to manage capacity and track participation effectively.
- Suboptimal Sign-up Process: The overall sign-up process was identified as cumbersome and potentially discouraging for prospective participants.
Our proposed solutions directly address these challenges, focusing on automation, intuitive design, and enhanced data visibility. We are committed to developing a platform that not only meets the current needs of Legacy Sports Fastpitch but also provides a scalable foundation for future growth.

Our approach
Kick off Meeting
We want to know more about you and your business, who is your customer, what types of designs you like.
Concept Design
At this stage we explore the various ideas from our processes we have develop. After narrowing down all the notes and design samples we deliver three initial design concepts.
Gather Your Input
We want you to be as much a part of the process as possible. These step is important so that we gather as much input as possible to finalize your logo that will represent your business.
To meet the project's design specifications, we implemented an external database solution for robust data management underpinning both display and interactive elements. Airtable was strategically selected for this purpose due to its seamless integration capabilities with our chosen Content Management System (CMS). Furthermore, Airtable's architecture facilitates efficient connectivity with an external payment gateway, thereby automating and significantly streamlining the entire event sign-up process, resulting in an expedited and user-centric experience.
Our CMS plays a pivotal role in the efficient management of the front-end design and content presentation. This contrasts sharply with the previous website's editing tools, which were characterized by a lack of user-friendliness and operational inefficiency, rendering even minor content modifications time-intensive. Our strategic decision to migrate away from the outdated interface of the former platform was crucial. Retaining such a system would have substantially prolonged the development timeline and introduced considerable complexity and inconvenience in making necessary adjustments and updates.
Key improvements:
More Formal Language: Words like "fulfill," "used," and "chose" are replaced with more professional alternatives like "meet," "implemented," and "strategically selected."
Emphasis on Strategy: The reasoning behind the technology choices is highlighted (e.g., "strategically selected for this purpose due to its seamless integration capabilities").
Stronger Technical Terminology: Terms like "robust data management," "underpinning," "architecture facilitates efficient connectivity," and "payment gateway" add a layer of technical professionalism.
Focus on Benefits: The revised text emphasizes the positive outcomes of the technology choices, such as "automating and significantly streamlining" and "expedited and user-centric experience."
Clearer Contrast: The comparison between the old and new CMS is made more explicit and impactful, highlighting the inefficiencies of the former and the advantages of the latter.
Concise and Direct: While more detailed, the revised text remains focused and avoids unnecessary jargon.
This updated version conveys a greater sense of technical expertise and strategic decision-making in your approach. Let me know if you'd like any further refinements!
